Farmville: Tree Mastery Guide for the Orchard

Harvest Trees in Farmville to Earn Mastery Signs

Jessie Kay
Farmville recently introduced the orchard feature to the popular Facebook game. Tree mastery was introduced along with the orchard feature. Tree mastery works exactly like crop mastery, in that you earn +1 mastery points every time you harvest a tree. Each tree has three levels of mastery. Once you've finished the third mastery level, you receive a tree mastery sign and you receive a second level tree.

How do you get the Farmville Orchard to start mastering the trees?
In order to get the orchard, you must ask your friends for parts. The Farmville tree orchard requires 10 bricks, 10 boards and 10 nails. Or, if you don't want to ask your friends for the parts, you can buy the building materials for Farm Cash. Once finished, your orchard can hold up to 20 trees. All 20 trees inside the orchard can be harvested with one click. When you harvest your orchard, you have the chance to get a seedling, which grows into a new tree.

What trees can be mastered in Farmville?
Almost all trees produced in Farmville can be mastered. This includes limited edition trees and Farmcash-only trees. As of November 2010, these trees cannot be mastered:
Christmas 2009 Ornament trees
Cotton Candy trees
Carnival trees
Coconut Trees
Persimmon

In other words, if you want to get ALL the tree mastery signs, you're going to need to start spending Farmcash on trees!

New trees in Farmville
Many new trees were introduced with the orchard's release, all for Farmcash. Fortunately, these new trees can be obtained once you master the level one trees. For example, the Breadnut tree can be purchased for Farmcash, however, when you master the Breadfruit tree, you'll receive one Breadnut tree that you can begin mastering.

You can master the cotton candy trees now. Maybe they'll add the rest soon?

Thanks for the helpful list...please add level 1 Gulmohar and Pomegranite which produce Mountain Ebony and Angel Red Pomegranite, respectively. Thanks again.
