One of the most basic tasks that needs to be performed on Farmville is the plow/seed/harvest "ritual". This can become tedious and boring, because it is repetitive and mundane. In addition to that, it is very time consuming.

The good news is that there are tools available to help with these mundane tasks, not only simplifying them, but speeding them up as well.

Using vehicles in Farmville can help you accomplish these tasks up to four times faster than doing these tasks manually. They allow you to work on 4 plots at the same time, which is a 2 x 2 area, rather than having to do each plot separately if you were to do this work manually. Not only does this save you valuable time, it also helps you to maximize your profits. As in real life agriculture, the farmers who are the most successful are those who utilize the best equipment, allowing them to reduce work loads, and maximize profits. There are three different vehicles available in Farmville, and those are:

The Tractor

The tractor can plow your land and comes in two colors

(a) Red: the most commonly used one;

(b) Pink: especially for the ladies!

Each tractors will cost you 5,000 coins. If you decide to sell your tractor later, you will only be paid 250 coins. In addition, you will receive 50 XP points when you purchase the tractor, which assists you in reaching the next XP level.

The main drawback to Farmville machinery is the requirement of fuel. You have to certify that you have fuel before you are able to use your tractor. Once this step is done, you will then be able to select your tractor, choose the "plow" options and begin plowing your land in an area measuring 2 x 2. Once you have completed the task of plowing, it is time to begin seeding.

The Seeder

The seeder enables you to plant your seeds in a 2 x 2 area. This machine will cost you 30,000 coins. You receive 300 XP for purchasing the seeder. In order to utilize the seeder, you simply select the "plant seeds" option. The next step is to select the type of seeds you wish to plan and then click on the areas where you would like your seeds planted.

The Harvester

The harvester collects your crops when it is time to harvest them. The harvester will cost you 30,000 coins and you will gain 300 XP points (same as the Seeder). The harvester can be sold for 1,500 coins. If you want to use the harvester, you will select it, and then select the crops that are ready to be harvested in order to start the process.

Keep in mind that each of these machines consumes Fuel and you will spend 1 Fuel for each plot of land that you use your machine on. A 2 x 2 area will require 4 Fuel for consumption by each machine (plow, seed, harvest).
