FarmVille's April Fools' Joke: Toilet Paper Your Neighbor's Barn

Nina Rotz
I logged on to my FarmVille game early on April 1st. I saw a toilet paper roll in my gift box from FarmVille and wondered what its purpose was. FarmVille is allowing its players to play an April Fools' joke on their neighbors. All the players have a chance to toilet paper their neighbors' barns.

How to Toilet Paper a FarmVille Barn
Pick your victim, select a neighbor from the bottom bar that scrolls. Your neighbor must have a barn. Click on "Visit/Help Neighbor's Farm." You will see a sign "Loading Farm."

Click to help on the farm; this is the usual experience-gaining chore of cleaning up leaves or chasing away raccoons.

Fertilize the neighbor's crops. You will receive experience points for this, as well as feeding their chickens. Now the fun part starts. Click on the toiler paper icon, located on the left side. A window will open saying "Click on the barn you want to toilet paper," as some of your rich neighbors may have more than one barn for storage. Click on your target and wait a few seconds. A pop up will show saying "Great joke! Do you want to tell your friends about how you tricked your Neighbor?" Click on "Publish" and a message will appear on your victim's wall.

How to Clean Up a Toilet Papered Barn
Since one of my neighbors pulled this prank on me, I received a message that my barn had fallen victim. The downside of this FarmVille release is that I was unable to see my barn covered in toilet paper. Bummer, right?
The cleanup is easy, my barn was restored to its normal state as soon as I logged into my farm.

This might change throughout the day, as new FarmVille features glitch too frequently. We may have a chance to see our barns actually covered in toilet paper.

April Fools' Day is today, so who knows what else FarmVille will release. They have an entire day to mass-produce toilet paper rolls or to find an even better way to sabotage our farms. Enjoy the prank and remember to get your neighbors back for toilet papering your FarmVille barn.
