After being diagnosed in 2006 with anal cancer, Farrah remained hopeful and sought out treatment and cures in both the United States and Germany. With family and close friends at her side, she continued to demonstrate her determination and fight to overcome this disease.
On May 15, 2009 her documentary, "Farrah's Story" aired. Her battle with cancer and her story touched millions of viewers.
At an undisclosed hospital in Santa Monica, California, this morning shortly after 9:30, Farrah passed away. Cancer had finally taken her life. Her battle is now over.
Accompanied by both Ryan O'Neal and Alana Stewart, she took her last breath.
Farrah will be remembered fondly by her family and friends and as a pop icon for her sex appeal and noted accomplishments on screen to her fans.
Rest in peace Farrah, you will be missed.
