Farrah Fawcett's Funeral Arrangements

Farrah Fawcett lost her battle with cancer on Thursday, June 25 just hours before the world was shocked to hear of another death, that of singer Michael Jackson. Reports indicated Ms. Fawcett's funeral is scheduled for Tuesday, June 30 in California at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels located in Los Angles.

As per her request, she will be cremated and a private ceremony will be held. Mourners attending Ms. Fawcett funeral will need to have an invitation to attend.

Farrah Fawcett had been fighting anal cancer since 2006. In the last three years, the disease was reported to have spread to other areas of her body until treatment was no longer an option.. Ms. Fawcett retained hope for recovery; however, she passed away in the hospital on Thursday, after being confined in bed for the last weeks of her life. She was 62 years old.

Farrah Fawcett has left behind a legacy by bring attention to cancer and her struggles for a cure as shown in her documentary chronicling her fight. The former "Charlie's Angels" star had been regularly traveling to Germany in order to receive a stem cell treatment that is currently not approved for use in the United States.

Farrah Fawcett's battle with cancer had been prolonged and debilitating. By creating a documentary of her cancer journey, Farrah Fawcett not only showed the aggressive ravages of cancer, but also created a legacy of cancer awareness, prevention awareness, and calls for a cure.
