In the last 24 years, many stores have opened and closed in the Lynchburg area. The fact that Fashion Bug has not only survived, but has thrived, speaks to what an excellent store it is. Fashion Bug's clothing line includes Girls, Misses, Juniors, and Plus sizes. They carry a variety of clothes from formal to causal. They truly have something for all women.
Aside from the beautiful clothing selection, the most enjoyable part of shopping at Fashion Bug is the employees. Most of them have learned my name and never fail to greet me upon arrival. I have never had one bad shopping experience with Fashion Bug.
One of my favorite employees, Tina, became the store manager a little over a year ago. It is refreshing to see a company promote within. Tina will often tell me if the store has gotten something new that she feels I'll like. I remember one time her telling me about some little summer dresses. It is really helpful when someone knows my tastes so well that they can suggest something I'll want even though I'm extremely picky.
Another great employee, Stephanie, helped me when looking for some shorts that would be good for playing tennis. She recommended a pair that I purchased. I do not play tennis often, but I always wear those shorts when I do.
A third employee, Sondra, helped my sister when we were in there looking for something for her to wear to a funeral. Sondra took her around the store and made many suggestions. My sister greatly appreciated her help in such a difficult time.
Whenever I visit Fashion Bug, I always receive first class service. I also feel that my business is appreciated. Even if I don't buy anything, I still enjoy visiting the store.
Fashion Bug's vast clothing line is always ahead of the trends, and they have an even larger selection available through their online store. The website often has sales and promotions including reduced shipping. And if a return is necessary, the local stores accept returns of items purchased through their website. This saves money on return shipping.
Fashion Bug is owned by Charming Shoppes, who also owns two other local stores, Catherine's and Lane Bryant. Catherine's is a plus-sized clothing store that has been in Lynchburg for about 30 years. According to one employee, their focus used to be on the 50+ age group, but now it has shifted to the 30+ age group. Lane Bryant, however, is more similar to Fashion Bug. Having been purchased a few years ago, Lane Bryant is still a fairly new addition to the Charming Shoppes' family of stores.
