Fashion Focus Chicago: A Celebration of Style
Fashion Focus Chicago is an event that keeps industry leaders and fashion consumers up to date on the latest styles and trends. The event focuses upon Chicago area fashion resources, so the styles should be easy to find by people in the Chicago area. Catch up on the latest fashions from Macy's and the trendiest hairstyles from Mario Tricoci, as well as the latest styles from other retailers in Chicago.
This is the sixth year of Fashion Focus Chicago, which celebratedsChicago's thriving fashion industry. The fashion returns for a sixth year in 2010. The week long fashion event Features are some of Chicago's top designers, the excitement of fashion runway shows in Millennium Park and fashion shows and events at various locations around Chicago.
Headlining Show Producers
The fashion runway shows at Millennium Park are a collaboration between the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and the fashion industry Headlining show producers include Macy's and the Chicago Fashion Incubator; Mario Tricoci; StyleChicago.com; Columbia College Chicago, the School of the Art Institute Chicago; the Illinois Institute of Art - Chicago; and the International Academy of Design & Technology Chicago.
Headlining Runway Shows at Millennium Park
Headlining runway shows at Millennium Park include: Macy's presents the Chicago Fashion Incubation on Tuesday, October 19 at 7:30 p.m. (free), smartwater & Chicago Magazine present Mario, Make Me a Model and Wave of Fashion on Wednesday, October 20 at 7:30 p.m. (free); Dress Code on Thursday, October 21 at 7:00 p.m. ($10 students / $25 general admission); and StyleChicago.com Presents the Art of Fashion 2010 on Friday, October 22 at 7:30 p.m. ($95 VIP / $35 general admission).
The fashion shows at Millennium Park do require reservations, even if they are free. See the Chicago Fashion Resource website for details.
