Gucci:
Still famous today, it is one of Italy's oldest fashion houses. Opened in 1920, Gucci has become well known today for its fine craftsmanship. Gucci specializes in handbags, shoes and belts.
Missoni:
Starting as a tiny shop by a newly married couple, Missoni has now grown into worldwide leader in fashion specializing in knits. Missoni clothes range from sweaters to dresses and everything in between.
Versace:
With Gianni Versace's shocking death in 1997, many wondered what would become of this giant's fashion house. With his sister Donatella at the reigns, Versace has continued to dress the rich and famous. Versace continues to make clothes that are sexy, edgy, and glamorous.
Valentino:
Perhaps one of this fashion houses best-known dresses: Jacqueline Kennedy's wedding dress when she married Aristotle Onassis. With chains all over the world, Valentino is a true fashion icon.
Moschino:
Franco Moschino wasn't too fond of being called a fashion designer. Nonetheless, he still managed to build a fashion dynasty before his death in 1994. Originally working for Gianni Versace, he left in 1983 to begin his own fashion designs. Many of Moschino's items are eclectic. He started out with jeans and eventually worked his way up to eveningwear and handbags.
Ferragamo:
Salvatore Ferragamo started as a simple shoe designer, and ended up outfitting some of the world's most famous in comfortable, yet luxurious shoes. Commonly referred to as "The Shoemaker to the Stars" Ferragamo has long since passed away, but his tradition in outfitting people with amazing shoes made with the finest leather, has not.
Roccobarocco:
Best known for high-end fashion clothes, Roccobarocco caters to some of the most influential and famous people in the world. A very creative designer, Roccobarocco is also one of Italy's most admired.
