Fashion Tips to Neatly Tuck Your Jeans in Your Boots - the 80's Revisited
What Goes Around Comes Around!
A couple of "tried "and almost "true" solutions are the old "tuck those jeans in your socks" or "slap rubber bands around your pants at the ankle" but the jeans don't really stay "tucked" using those methods when you start moving around.
So, here are a few other fashion tips on keeping your jeans nicely tucked in your boots. These style tips work whether you like cowboy boots or sleek knee high boots.
The easiest solution is ready made stirrups by a company called Stirrupz.com. These are elastic bands with clips on the end. Wonderful invention and reusable. These are styled a little differently with a Y shape design with four clips verses two clips. These can be purchased through their website or some local retailers. A pair is priced at $25.
If you are happy with two clip stirrups then mitten clips are the solution. These can be found at your local Wal-Mart for under $4.00 or you can purchase them through online stores such as suspenderstore.com ($4.99) or kidssurplus.com (2.49). These mitten clips are a 5" x 1" piece of elastic with clips on the end and work perfectly for the frugal shopper.
For the do-it-yourself (er's) you can remove the elastic band from a pair of old panties (or men's boxer shorts), measure a strip as long as your pant legs are wide, and stitch this to the hem of or pants. For a tighter feel, either lessen the length of the elastic or stitch the elastic higher on the pant legs. Some women may not be suited with the "tucked" look so this is a good cheap way to try it out first.
And lastly, if you are in a hurry and need to throw this look together quickly, take a pair of trouser socks or knee hi's and cut the band off of them. You can wrap this band around the bottom of your jeans to hold the jeans in place. It's comfortable and the elasticity and strength will hold your jeans tight.
With these tips you'll be moving freely and your jeans will stay put, in your boots - where they should be!
