Most women today don't have time to sit in front of the mirror and apply base, foundation, setting powder, intricate eye makeup, ect. However, that shouldn't be an excuse for not looking good everyday. Here are some fast tips that can help you look gorgeous everyday!

Case No.1: People with dry skin

Misconception: Since you have dry skin, you can just mix moisturizer with a liquid foundation, slap it on, and voila! Not only do you have a flawless face, you managed to moisturize your skin in the same step!

Tip No. 1: Moisturizers with higher oil content + foundation can help moisturize your face for a longer period of time. However, adding high oil content moisturizers to foundations that are supposed to control oil on your face is big no-no! If you mix the two together, the foundation will form uneven clots and when applied to your face, it will make your skin tone seem very uneven!

Tip No. 2: If you're adding a rather light type of moisturizer and a foundation together, the amount of moisturizer cannot exceed the amount of foundation! The perfect ratio is 1:1 or else the foundation will start to clump. Before you apply a setting powder, wait until your foundation has completely settled. If you still have some oil on your face, take an oil-blotting paper to take off the oil before applying the setting powder.

Case No. 2: Because of inadequate blood circulation, some people might have dark eye circles. In addition, if a person has a rather thin or transparent layer of skin, they will also show greenish/purple veins around their eyes.

Remedy: For people with dark undereye circles or greenish veins around their eyes, the most important step is to blend the difference between their undereye circles/veins and their regular skin color. It is a huge mistake to just slap on a ton of concealer because it will make your skin tone uneven and make your undereye parts appear dirty.

How to pick the right colored concealer for undereye discoloration?

For people with vein discoloration, it's best to pick a color that's cool like a yellow-based or blue-green concealer.

For people with the typical dark undereye circles, it's better to pick a color that's warmer and closer to an orange tone and also a watery type of concealer.

How to conceal:

1. Apply the concealer onto undereye area and gently pat to blend

2. If you also have eye bags, you can pick a yellow-based or a paler type of concealer and apply it along the lower lines of your eye bags.

3. Afterwards, apply a brightening concealer underneath the eye bag.

Tip for the eyes: Often people like to apply lots of eyeliner in order to make their eyes seem larger but sometimes, this can have the opposite effect. Rather than focus on eyeliner, it might be better to focus on the eyelashes which can really open up the eyes.

For people with shorter lashes, you can apply a lash-growing serum such as L'oreal Lash boosting serum once in the morning and once at night which has worked quite well for me.

How to apply L'oreal Lash boosting serum:

1. Use the tip of the mascara wand and apply it to the very base of your eyelashes.

2. Then coat the lashes with the serum like you would with a mascara. When you're applying makeup, you can curl your lashes first, then apply the serum.

Tips about blush:

For people with darker skin types, what type of blush should they use: a peachy colored blush would make their complexion glow!
