Fast Food Places to Check Out in San Diego

Keith Riffle
San Diego is known for its beaches, Sea World, Old Town, and numerous other tourist attractions. However, most people don't visit San Diego for its fast food. While there are some fancy restaurants in San Diego, there are some great fast food establishments as well.

To start out, San Diego has many great Mexican fast food Mexican establishments, such as Roberto's, Alberto's, and Valentine's. If you ever visit these places, don't just order the "standard" fast food items you can find at Taco Bell - order something different.

A great choice is three to five rolled tacos with guacamole. Some people will argue that Rolled tacos with guacamole, when prepared right, are one of the best tasting foods anywhere on the planet. Make sure to dip them in salsa, and wash down your rolled tacos with a carne asada burrito. For desert, a great choice is a churro. How much does all of this cost? About $6-8, and it will keep your stomach full for much of the day!

Another great Mexican food place to eat in San Diego is called Rubios, known for their excellent fish tacos. If the idea of a "fish taco" sounds a little scary, don't worry - its not what you think. I'll save the "secret recipe" for now, but just make sure to eat your fish taco with some lime or lemon - it will add a lot of flavor.

If Mexican food is not your thing, San Diego has plenty of other options. If you like Pizza, make sure to pay Round Table Pizza a visit. If you are looking for something different, their "Garlic Supreme" pizza is a great choice - it has white sauce, for a different flavor, but it is extremely good.

Another great place to eat is called Wienerschnitzel. They have great corn dogs, and their chili cheese dogs are excellent.

Finally, if you are hungry for a burger, make sure to stop by the world famous "In-N-Out Burger". They have great hamburgers, and are open late if you get hungry late at night. Carl's Junior isn't bad either - their "Western Bacon Cheeseburger is great, and they have really good fried zucchini.

Like all fast food restaurants, it should be noted here that all of the places mentioned above are not known as "health food" establishments. However, if you are looking to make your taste buds happy, you can't go wrong with any of them.
