There are a few choices at McDonald's that are around 100 calories; at least they are under 150 calories. Any flavor of their small iced coffees are 130 calories. A fruit n' yogurt parfait without the granola is also 130 calories. Apple dippers with the low fat caramel dip are 105 calories.
Many of Starbucks' coffee drinks can be ordered non-fat, light, and/ or sugar free. For example, a tall, nonfat caramel latte made with sugar free caramel syrup tastes like much more than 90 calories. One petite vanilla scone with a coffee with zero-calorie sweetener and nonfat milk is just over 100 calories. A TAZO tea and brownie bites is only 130 calories.
A 4 oz. scoop of Baskin-Robbins' low-fat ice cream, sherbet, or low sugar ice cream is around 150 calories if you skip the cone.
At Burger King, a small order of onion rings (skip the sauce, it's an extra 150 calories) and a small diet soda is 140 calories. A side garden salad with fat free ranch dressing is well under 150 calories, even if you add the packet of croutons that it comes with.
DQ's fudge bar and vanilla orange bar are both a mere 50 calories. The Starkiss bar is only 80 calories.
An egg roll and diet soda at Jack in the Box is only 130 calories. Their fruit cup is 90 calories. A hash brown and a black coffee is 150 calories.
At Taco Bell, a fresco style crunchy taco and a diet coke is 150 calories.
If you're at a grocery store, pick up a light yogurt, a piece of fruit, and a bottle of water or iced tea. You can also get a snack pack of veggies and low fat ranch dip in the produce section.
Some fast foods sound like a good idea for a snack if you are on a diet, but they are in fact full of calories. Soft pretzels usually start around 350-450 calories without the added toppings or cheese sauce. Most of the calories are from empty carbohydrates. Fruit smoothies usually begin around 400 calories for a small size.
