Fate of the Nation

Part IV

Shellie
Fellow citizens of the United States of America, over the years there have been many perilous times that our country has faced extreme danger of losing our god given right to freedom. We have fought side by side in the heat of battle. We have fought in the mud, cold, wind, and rain. We have fought at home and around the world, not only for our freedom but for those across the seas. We have stood side by side with other countries seeking their freedom from extremist, dictators, and disillusioned leaders with the intent to conquer the world. Yes, we have fought and died along side of thousands upon thousands of red-blooded Americans, fought and died in defense of liberty, justice, and the American way.

I ask you now, if all of what we have accomplished and all of we have fought for been in vein? As I visit the graves of my dad, brother, uncles, and great grandparents I realize the list goes all the way back to Jamestown, Virginia. Did my family members also die in vein? What about yours? I am not the only one that has lost family members (loyal Americans) that stood together so "you" young and old can live free. Without them where would we be?

Even as I am writing this there are people around the world shouting America has reached its end. As I reflect on the past and look to the future I look to you the American people to keep our American dream alive and well. I am not so foolish as to think what I am trying to say to you is very comforting, being that our country is in such turmoil with the stock market and economy in the mess that it's in. But people, we have faced these perils before and we may face them again. Each time we have these types of crisis; we have pulled through it and have become a better nation because of it.

That leaves me contemplating why there are so many young people in America that have never had to work a day in their life. And why would they with mom and dad giving them any and everything they could possibly want, i.e. home, money, and credit cards.

Does that really help them? Does it help them to understand the values of freedom? Mom and dad had to work, but more over grandma and grandpa had to work so mom and dad could get an education in school and learn what freedom is really all about.

There are divisions of people in America, but there is no need for it.

I have watched, listened, asked questions, and have done a lot of research. There are just too many people willing to raise hell just to get something for nothing. America is a free nation, not a nation for a free ride. We as a people have always worked hard for a living. That I assure you will not change, nor should it. I'll put it this way, if I paid you a high salary the milkman will raise his prices, then you will ask for a raise, then the milkman well you get it...... If for some reason you lost your job, that doesn't mean the milk will become cheap again. That works the same with everything else. Next, you get a credit card then become enslaved by the bank.

So, let us not be so quick to lay the blame on someone else, let's start at home and remember it all started thirty to fifty years ago.

The only thing that really matters as an American is to stay free and strong. Please don't let the balance of power get too far one way or the other. Don't let a handful of people turn our country into a socialist dictatorship. People wake up, you control our destiny.

John McCain is the only choice we have at this time to keep the checks and balances in Washington and keep America and our way of life free, even from each other.

Don't forget our veterans and what they have done for us and our country. God Bless America!

American Patriot

I support John McCain for president 2008
