Father Holds Family Hostage in Arizona!

Arizona has become one of the more popular states to hit the news recently, and not for good reason. Last year I wrote three articles on Arizona. One, 2 boys dead - same Arizona campground, was about two boys that were found dead in the same county, near the same campground. The other two articles, Arizona Jail Break - what is left when you have nothing to lose and Arizona Escapee - fight to the death, were both about the famous Arizona jail break. Let us not forget the most notorious of all incidents that left many dead and Congresswoman Gabrielle Gifford still recovering.

None of which will be forgetting, but will be replace as a new story comes to light. Foxnews.com has announced that Interstate 10 by Kino Parkway in Tuscan is closed due to a stand off with police.

According to Foxnews.com, bails bondsmen went to a hotel to arrest a felon when shots were fired. The wanted fugitive is currently held up inside the Tuscan hotel with three children and their mother since 2 A.M.

It is articles like this that really get my goat going. As a mother, I can not phantom what would possess a parent to hurt their own child, and in this case two of those children are believed to be the fugitive's.

It is my opinion that parents that hurt their children are worse than any other criminal for one reason. If you can hurt your children, or take their lives, than you can do that to anyone.

We are suppose to protect them, cherish them. It is our children that bring the good in us, and I mean that literally. If it was not for our children, most of us would probably spend half our time partying.

Than you have this little boy or girl and your world changes. In my own case, I was a partier, alcohol, until I had my son. He changed my life for the better. He taught me that I am strong person, something I did not believe I was capable of being. His father was worse, and almost died because of drugs. It is a painful subject for him because his drug habit resulted in him abandoning his son at six months old until he was six years old.

No matter who you are, there comes a point where you stand up and say "I don't want this life for my children". So, we change to be good, decent people. A person our children would be proud to grow up to be like.

Than you hear about parents like Casey Anthony, and even this father and it is very sad. It really does make me wonder how far someone will go if they can hurt their own blood, their own child. What possess' them to do something like that? Sadly I do not think there is really an answer for that question other than they simple do not care about anyone but themselves.

In a way he reminds me of the prison escape. This man is going to jail, and to prevent that from happen he is willing to use his chidlren, his family, as hostages. A sad truth, to a sad reality and I pray these children and their mother will get out of this horrible situation without to many scars.
