To live, love, and share,
Father you taught me,
To be courageous and care.
I learned how to be humble,
And a little sensitive too,
I learned how not to be angry,
When a long day had run through.
And Father, you showed me,
How to treat and respect a woman,
Yes Father, you showed me,
How to become a man.
I watched your every movement,
The way you held us and kissed mom,
How gently you tucked us in at night,
And softly sang us a song.
Father, you proved to me,
You had the strength to fight,
Father, you proved to me,
You were willing to lay down your life
I saw you preserve freedom,
When you left with your bag,
I saw the sacrifice you made,
When they gave Mom that flag.
Father, you taught me,
The most important lesson of all,
Father, you taught me,
That it's you I miss most of all.
