Fathers Day 02

James R. Ford
there they are, the two of them,
bonking heads, jumping on the bed,
smiling and laughing and playing
with dolls and cars and trucks
they ride upon horsey sticks
"Wahoo!" is their call , then jump on their daddy

he thinks he's a t-rex
she is cindarella
the games begin and never stop
off to the playground with a hippity- hop

daddy we're hungry
take us to ronald's
buy us some toys
hold on to your ears
while we make all kinds of noise

when you put us to bed
tell us a story
we'll dream us a dream
and ask for some water

when the sun comes up
we'll play once again
singing the songs
about the sun and the rain.

This is a wonderful poem about dads...I think that my dad would've been just like that. Great one, James.
