Father's Day

Jean Davis

Father's Day is one special day set aside each year to honor Fathers.

Maybe you are a Father or maybe you have one.

Either way this day is just for you; from early dawn to the setting of the sun.

Fatherhood is a privilege but comes with so many responsibilities, too

It doesn't come with a book of instructions telling you just what to do.

Actually there is a Book of instruction handed down by the world's greatest Author.

The most perfect guidebook you'll ever find,

It's title is The Holy Bible .

Would that thought ever have come to your mind ?

In this book you can find stories of Fathers from the beginning of time.

Men not too different from men today.

Oh yes, life for men was a lot different then but he was to raise up his children in the same way.

God was and is the very first Father; giving us the perfect example to live by.

He loves His children unconditionally but sometimes His patience they'll

Try.

Father should mean love and pride but it has to mean discipline, too.

A Father is to be an example before his children because it cannot be: "do as I say."

It will usually be :"do as I do."

How many times do you see your child trying to imitate your every move?

They want to be just like Dad.

Follow The Heavenly Father's guide book and there so many blessings to be had.

Yes, the road will seem long from their cradle to adulthood.

There were probably a few bumps and wrong turns along the way.

All is forgotten and fond memories re-appear as we celebrate each Father's

Day.

so true, if only all parents, not just fathers thought this way, then maybe the news would'nt be littered with so many awful stories of abuse, neglect, and yes even murder, great job mom on being both mother and father to us. I Love you
