Father's Day Freebies and Cheapies 2010

Free Ice Cream, Phones and More This Father's Day Weekend

Carly Hart
Father's Day Freebies are a huge draw for businesses and this year's list of freebies (and cheapies) is fairly diverse. Find out how dad can get a free cone and a free phone this Father's Day 2010.

Outback Steak House

Dad's who dine at Outback Steak House during Father's Day weekend will receive a scratch off ticket that could win him free dinner for a year. Other prizes include one-time gift cards valued at $25 or $5 coupons.

Steak 'n Shake

Dad won't dine free, but the kids will be a cheap date. According to an email announcement, kids eat free all weekend. The caveat here is that customers earn one free kids' plate for every $8 spent.

TCBY gives dad's free ice cream on Father's Day

Why should Mom get all the free ice cream? TCBY treats both parents equally by giving them a free cup or cone of ice cream on their big day. Take Dad to TCBY for a free ice cream on Father's Day.

Free Ice Cream Float at Denny's

If your dad is still hungry for ice cream, make sure you head to Denny's Facebook page to create a card and then get a coupon for a free ice cream float. You must complete the free e-card application to get your coupon.

Ikea offers free breakfast for Dad

Quite similar to the promotion for Mother's Day, dads can also enjoy a free breakfast at Ikea. The free breakfast offered is the one normally priced at just 99 cents. Call ahead to confirm your store is participating.

Father's Day Weekend: Free Admission to National Park

Take dad camping this weekend at one of 147 National Parks. This weekend, June 19 and 20, the admission fee to many favorite National Parks is waived. This weekend is the first of three total free admission weekends planned for this summer. According to the National Geographic website, this freebie from Uncle Sam will cost taxpayers a half million a day. However, it is hoped that a free weekend will encourage casual campers to make a return trip at full price at a later date.

T-Mobile giving free phone to dad

Could dad use a phone upgrade? I bet he could and Father's Day weekend, specifically Saturday June 19, is the day you need to grab your dad and take him to a participating T Mobile store to get a free phone. Yes, there are some strings attached - like the possibility of being stuck in a two year contract - but if you make the switch from another carrier, switch to a family plan or add another line to your existing family plan, then you can get a new phone. This is participating locations only, so be sure to visit the link below for more details.
