Eco-artwear (http://www.eco-artware.com/) is an excellent gift site specializing in "recycled, reused and natural materials." On the site, you will find a link to cufflinks. Although cufflinks and neckties may seem trite, your eco dad will love these father's day gifts. They are made from a variety of discarded materials from typewriter keys to computer parts to trolley tokens. Each set costs between $40 and $100.
At www.changingthepresent.org you will find a very unique father's day gift. Here, you can make a charitable donation in your father's name. This site connects to many different non-profit charitable sites including those devoted to restoring the rainforests. Donations can be made in any amount and a personalized greeting card with photo and description is included to give to your dad.
www.uncommongoods.com has a large recycled gifts section. This section is full of great father's day gift ideas for your eco-friendly father. To round out this top five list, I've picked my favorite three from this great site.
First up are the recycled wallets. Uncommon Goods makes custom recycled wallets out of a variety of reclaimed materials including newspaper, magazines, tires, billboard, and even tennis balls. Wallets come in a variety of shapes and sizes and range from $25 to $50.
Secondly on www.uncommongoods.com I have to recommend the pilsner glasses. These glasses are created using reclaimed windshield glass. The glasses are unique and beautiful and will add an eco touch the even the simplest of drinks. A set of two glasses are available for $20.
Finally from Uncommon Goods is a bit pricier collection of eco-friendly father's day gifts. There are several reclaimed item clocks for sale on the site. These clocks are made using discarded cameras, gears, cogs, tools, road signs and even bingo cards. The cheapest clocks sell for $45 while the more elaborate ones go for $165.
All of these father's day gift ideas would be perfect for your eco-friendly, recycling minded, green dad. He'd be tickled to receive any one of these. Trust me, I'm one of those dads.
