Father's Day Gifts From The Heart

H J
With Mother's day just passing, Father's Day is fast approaching. Give Dad some thing special that will show him how much you care.

Now Maybe you are already trying to figure out that special gift for Dad. There are many gifts out there that Dad's would love to have. Dad's love tools and fancy gadgets, but what about that one of a kind gift from your heart that will tell Dad how much you truly care about him?

As fun as fancy gadgets are there is nothing more memorable than that one of a kind gift from the heart. With all of the items available on the market, sometimes the most meaningful gifts are over looked. This year why not give Dad that special gift? The one you made yourself.

There are many varieties of decorated printer paper available. Think about all of the things Dad has done for you over the years. Now put all of this on paper. Write Dad a letter that tells him all of the things that he has done for you that have left a lasting impression on you. The things that make him special.

Photo albums are another big hit. Gather photo's of you and your Dad together. Assemble them in a nice photo album. There are many options available now for scrapbooks, from fancy paper to fancy cutting scissors. Assemble the book in a scrapbook fashion. Include photo's of you and Dad, vacations, special events etc. Add your own captions to the book.

Maybe you and Dad enjoy hunting together and have brought home some trophies. Assemble a photo collage that represents those trips together. This of course would work for any special event that you and Dad have shared.

When was the last time Dad received a photo of all of his children together? Arrange to have a photo taken for Dad that includes all of his children. Make it even more special and take Dad along to be in the photo also.

There may be a special event you and Dad used to do. Why not do it again? Maybe Dad used to take you every Saturday for ice cream, or out fishing. Plan a day to surprise him and do that special event you used to do with him as a child.

Most elderly Dad's already have all of the tools and ties they need. Unfortunately the elderly are not always able to get out and do the things they enjoy as often as they used to, or would like to. Plan a day to take dad out. Go out to dinner, sit in the park and talk about things you enjoyed doing with him when you were a child. Maybe even just a drive in the Country. Sometimes time is the most special gift a person could receive.

Dad most likely has a "to do list" a mile long. Take the day to help him do the yard work, clean the garage, fix the lawnmower. Not only will you be showing Dad you are thinking about him, you will also be relieving some of his stress at the same time.

Plan a barbecue for Dad on Father's Day that includes all of his children. This could even be done at his house. All of the children could get together and help Dad get some of those chores caught up at the same time.

There are other things that could be done for Dad that would be very meaningful to him, and would show a lot of heart and thought. Things like that broken watch sitting in his dresser drawer that your mom bought him Twenty years ago. Have the watch fixed and present him with it for Father's Day. If Dad just plain and simple needs a new watch make it special, give it sentimental value by having a special message engraved on the back of it.

There are many ways to show Dad how special he is on Father's day. Think about the things that would be something special to him. Now be creative and present it to Dad on his special day. Give Dad that one of a kind gift that shows him how much he means to you. Give Dad a gift from the heart.
