Father's Day Lesson Plans for Preschoolers

Dads have their day too. Lesson plans are designed to educate our children. Father's day is a holiday to celebrate the men who are fathers. They deserve to have a day of their own and they do. Are you a preschool teacher who is seeking lesson plans for this holiday?

The lesson plans listed below will help teach preschoolers the importance of Father's Day. They are easy and very rewarding.

A mug is ideal for dads. Most or all dads love to drink coffee, and plain, white mugs are the best choice. Children can decorate them with their handprints. Boys' handprints can be in blue and girls in either red or pink paint.

Sofa organizers are perfect for those who tend to lose the remote control a lot. This is simple to create, and dads will love it. The sofa organizers can be made from old T-shirts with pockets. The shirt needs to be cut from the top (where it meets the collar) down to the bottom. The width doesn't have to be really wide, maybe three or four inches.

The end with the pocket will hang off the arm of the sofa. The other will end will be tucked in between the cushion and the arm of the couch to keep it snug and in place. The pocket will hold the remote control.

A day with dad is perfect for any child. Spending quality time with daddy is special. The day with dad can include the fathers teaching the preschoolers a skill such as building something. Birdhouse building is fun and creative.

T-shirts can be decorated with anything related to Father's Day. A cute idea would be to have both father's and child's handprints painted on the shirt. Two different colors for the handprints would represent the two generations.

Ties allow dads to dress up nicely. The personalizing of the tie can be done with the words No. 1 Dad or with the dad's first name. Teachers will have to do the personalizing for the students. Why? The letters need to be ironed on. The ties can be those the fathers already own. Children need to ask permission before bringing it in to be used.

Preschoolers will have a blast with these lesson plans. Every activity requires assistance from the teacher.
