Fathers Day Poem

T. Schnieders
Dear Dad,

Thanks for always being there, in your own special way you showed you care.
You always gave me good advice, even though I often didn't take it in life.
You taught me tee ball, and how to ride a bike, you cleaned my wounds after my first school yard fight.
Some times when I got mad I wished I had someone else's dad, and then soon after I would realize your not so bad.

You pushed me up hill, and you pushed me down. But you always taught me never to give up, even when I'm on the ground.
You gave me strength for many years; you patted my back when I fought back the tears.
I don't know how to put it dad, words make it hard to say, but I love you daddy here on Father's Day.

You traded Years of your life for the right to one day this month, and I know that's really just not enough.
So I'm going to make sure right now, right here to make this Father's Year.
So dad I hope this little poem helps in some way express the love I've felt when times where tough.
I love you dad I'm glad you're here to make this a great Fathers Year, um Day!
