Favorite 80's and 90's Prince Songs

Prince is an icon of our time. With hit records that will last for a life time, he will always be cherished by his adoring fans. He is both sexy and seductive in both his music and tantalizing performances. During his earlier years, his music was a unique mixture of rock and R&B; Prince's music makes you want to get up and dance and go crazy. Now his music has matured in taste and flavor. I can remember this song while watching Prince's "Purple Rain" movie which also was a big in the 80's. The up tempo musical beats in the song is blended with the exciting lyrics makes it a fun and filled song for music enthusiasts; this song can even gives a couch potato the urge to want to get up and dance.

#3 - When Doves Cry - When Doves Cry is another one of Prince's big hit on his Purple Rain album. This song is very deep and has a lot of meaning. The song, When Doves Cry, tells the story of Prince's character's life (Kid) in the movie Purple Rain.

#2 - Little Red Corvette - Little Red Corvette is one of my personal favorites. This song is another signature Prince song. When you hear the song, you know it is Prince. Little Red Corvette has a rich blend of rock and R&B.

#1 - Purple Rain - This song has a deep rooted social message. Prince used so much emotion in this song. You can literally feel the passion in his voice. Purple Rain radiates so much compassion. This song is Prince's # 1 song during the 80's.

Over the years, Prince has made a mark in musical history. His name and music stands out for all to remember. Prince is a musical legend for now and well into the future. He's a true icon in my eyes.
