Books make wonderful gifts for just about everyone on your Christmas list. And what better way to get into the Christmas spirit than reading a Christmas book. Here are a few Christmas favorites to add to your gift list for friends and family.

A must have classic is The Night Before Christmas by Clement Clarke Moore. Who can forget the "visions of sugar-plums" and "Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!"

Another great children's book is How the Grinch Stole Christmas by Dr. Seuss. Children can share Christmas Day with the Whos in Whoville while learning the meaning of Christmas.

The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg is another special children's Christmas classic. It's a beautiful illustrated book with a beautiful story. Makes us believe in Santa Claus again.

For all the animal lovers on your list here is a special book, A Very Marley Christmas by John Grogran. This is the very same mischievous Marley the dog from the Marley and I movie and the bestselling book Bad Dog, Marley! The funny antics will entertain children and adults alike.

A real classic is A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. This is one of Dickens best and most well known books. Inspirational and emotional, a great book to read out loud in front of the fireplace. Reminds us to be thankful for our families and friends.

For Little Women fans, here is another book by the same author, Louisa May Alcott. Louisa May Alcott's Christmas Treasury is a collection of touching stories about poverty, charity and the Christmas Spirit. You will find an excerpt from Little Women in this wonderful treasury.

Best Christmas Crafts Ever! by Kathy Ross has great ideas for adorable crafts to make with your children. It's filled with ideas for gifts for Mom, Dad, decorating the tree and so much more.

Don't forget your friends and family that love to cook and bake. Here is a cookbook full of Christmas recipes for appetizers, entrees and desserts. Betty Crocker Christmas Cookbook by Betty Crocker Editors will be treasured for many years and generations. You can find recipes for any Christmas dish you desire, even for vegetarians. There are also some great food gift ideas.

You can find these books and other wonderful Christmas stories at your local bookstore, Barnes and Noble and Amazon.com.
