The FBI has issued an alert to holiday shoppers: according to intelligence reported in September, al Qaeda may be planning a series of attacks at major Los Angeles and Chicago malls in November and December.
According to officials, there is no "credible, specific" information about the attacks. Talk of similar attacks has been going on for years in jihadist chatrooms, and a large-scale attack of this kind has never occured.
As usual, shoppers should remain vigilant in public places, says the FBI, and report any suspicious activity to authorities.

Very scary! With the building of Destiny USA here in Syracuse, I'm a little worried about what kind of threats this tourist attraction may bring with it.
