Fear Does Not Exist

Rita Jan
Fear is a phenomenon which drives people to do brave, as well as, reckless things. We will examine fear in the context of where it should fit within a Godly lifestyle.

Let's examine some basic theological principles.

First, a large number of people believe in God. For this article, we will make the assumption that an almighty, all-powerful, omniscient God reigns over all of humankind. A large number of people also believe in Satan. For our purposes, we will assume that an anti-God being of evil powers and mindset, named Satan, does indeed exist and seeks to bring down the children of God.

Now, regardless of your spiritual upbringing, denomination or religion, if you believe in the above two principles, then that is all you will need in order to benefit from this article.

Fear is a physical state of mind where worry and forethought combine and an IF situation is created. For example: I am terrified if my wife found out that I cheated on her, because then she may be hurt or leave me or take my children away, etc. I am afraid that my boss will find out that I lied on my resume, because he might fire me or demote me or suspend me, etc.

For fear to exist, two things absolutely must occur: 1. There must be a situation where you, your life, your freedom or a loved one would be negatively affected were a situation to occur. 2. There must be a slight belief in your mind that such a situation would arise, and that the negative effect would happen.

In the Bible, widely believed to be the Word of the Almighty God, meticulous care is given to God's humans in His every thought. Not one sparrow falls from a tree without the knowledge of the Lord, He counts every hair upon your head, He provides for His children, and so on. God's grace and compassion and loving kindness is demonstrated throughout the Bible from cover to cover.

If a God-fearing person, be you Christian or Jew or something else, believes in a God Who is all-powerful, all-knowing, all-seeing, and all-loving, then they must necessarily NOT believe in fear. For, with that belief, the only thing to fear is your God, and He is sitting beside you, holding you, and wiping your tears away. From the other side, if one were to fear anything outside of their God, then they must necessarily NOT believe in an all-powerful, all-knowing, all-seeing and all-loving Lord. To believe in both is to be a hypocrite, and the truth is not in you.

To have doubt in your God, and to express it, is something different entirely. God loves the truth, and if you have concerns or frustrations, He appreciates it when you just tell Him, rather than saying that you trust Him and then denying yourself peace of mind. However, fear is a very strong motivator. Fear causes people to pick back up projects which they have given to God, to murder, to lie, to steal, and to defile their bodies.

Now that we know that God and Fear cannot exist in the same world together, and if you've established that you believe in God, then I can begin the last point of my discussion.

Fear is a godless, faithless whore that is pimped out to the nations by Satan. It does not exist, but we buy into it, so much so that we will do anything to get rid of this thing, this demon, in our lives. We will lie to our spouse who protects us because of fear. We train our children in godless, pagan ways because of fear. We neglect to do the research ourselves and find out the truth because of fear.

We take food out of the mouths of our children because of fear.

And look: fear does not even exist. We are selling ourselves out to a myth...to a thought...perpetuated by a thing that we may also be afraid of: Satan. Are you afraid of Satan? Because if so, you are lying in bed with him, fornicating your faith in the All-powerful God by being afraid of anything besides your loving, kind and righteous Husband.
