Feather Hair Extensions Are on the Rise for 2011; Even Steven Tyler Sports the Feather Look on Idol

Feather Colors Available and Where to Find Them

Angel Vee
Look out Hair Flairs, Feather hair extensions are on the rise for 2011. The hottest new extensions are not multi-colors strips or funky colors anymore. That's right it's real bird feathers in your hair.

While at the beauty salon store picking up some products I watched three girls walk in wearing these extensions, and I had to take a double look. The first girl was wearing green and white, which I thought "Ok, she's getting ready for Saint Patrick's Day." Then her friend was wearing black and white, and the other friend was wearing like a hot pink, which was definitely not for Saint Patrick's Day. The feathers were really neat.

Standing in line waiting to pay for my stuff, I overheard the lady at the register saying to the one girl "Love your feathers, they are like Steven Tyler's." I thought about this for a minute, and said "Holy cow! I thought Tyler's extensions looked like feathers, but on the television it's kind of hard to tell."

This trend brought me way back to the 80's when we use to wear those roach clips with the assorted colored feathers attached to a string. I use to buy mine at a local flea market by my home back then. Did you know you can still find them online? Don't be surprised if these make a huge comeback as well along with the feather extensions.
