Recently I had become frustrated with all the other products that I have tried so I decided it was time to fork out the $30 bucks to purchase the FebreezeTM Scentstories. The Scentstories comes with everything you need to get it up and running. You attach the power cord and pop in the scent disk that was included. Then press play. Basically there are 5 scents in each disk. The disks come in a variety of themes such as "Shades of Vanilla," "Wandering Barefoot on the Shore," "Strolling Through the Garden" and my personal favorite, "On a Tropical Island." Each scent is housed in a little pod, we'll call it, that gets warmed up by a metal heating unit under it. Then a fan blow the scent around the room. The machine allows you to change the intensity of the fragrance with a touch of a button. Each scent plays for 30 minutes and the disk is advertised to last for 20 plays. When the machine is finished, it shuts off automatically until you're ready to use it again.
After using the FebreezeTM Scentstories, I have come across a few pros and cons that I hope will assist you in you choice to purchase or not to purchase this air freshener.
Pros:
1. The machine is small enough to put in a discreet location.
2. The scent disks are all very pleasant smelling.
3. It does a great job of freshening a small room in minutes.
4. The disks are reusable and you can switch back and forth between disks as you please.
5. All you have to do to have a wonderful smelling room is press play!
Cons:
1. The machines fan is not silent. My guest actually notice the constant hum and wounder where it's coming from.
2. The machine doesn't freshen large rooms very well
3. The machine is $30 and there after each replacement disk is about $6
4. I press the play button every day so the disk seems to ware out fast.
5. The disks are advertised to last for 20 hours of play but I've noticed that the scent gets noticeably weaker after the first few plays and then continues to fade after that.
Overall Rating
4 out of 5 stars.
