Fedor Emelianenko Entrance Theme Music

Fedor's New and Old Entrance Songs

James
As a brief introduction, Fedor Emelianenko is widely considered the best heavyweight in the world, and one of the best overall fighters in the world. He dominates his opponents with incredible Judo, Sambo, and unorthodox striking. Having been in the fighting game for about 10 years, Fedor has made his mark, being virtually undefeated in over 30 fights. He's well-known as a finisher and always comes to fight. He is so good at commanding the pace of the fight, that he is the least hit fighter in MMA, even though he constantly takes risks--only 7 of 34 fights have gone to a decision, and two of those were against the same tough-as-nails opponent.

Fedor Emelianenko's entrance theme music during his pride years was Enae Volare Mezzo by Era. Era is a New Age music project, and is widely popular, having sold more than 12 million units since its inception. Fedor's entrance theme uses a lot of chants and has a mystique about it that is befitting of the then Pride Heavyweight Champion. This song can be found on Youtube and is featured in many Fedor Emelianenko highlight videos. Because of its connection with Fedor, it has become immensely popular, and is one of Era's most well-known songs.

Due to purported copyright issues surrounding the use of the Era song in the United States (Fedor used it in Japan,) he was unable to use it. In his last few outings, specifically those with Affliction and Strikeforce, Fedor has been using a Russian folk song called: Oy, To Ne Vecher performed by his priest. Many fans prefer the song by Era, but the lyrics for Oy, To Ne Vecher fit Fedor Emelianenko really well. It creates the same type of atmosphere that Enae Volare did, but lacks the same sort of intensity.

It is unlikely that Fedor will be changing his entrance music any time soon, as he usually sticks to a single song unless there are issues with him using it. If he comes to the UFC, it's likely that Dana White will ask him to use another song. That said, Fedor has significantly more bargaining power than most other fighters and will probably be able to use whatever song he wants.
