There are a few obstacles that may stop this fight from happening, from Emelianenko's side. Lesnar is contractually obligated to fight anyone that UFC wants him to fight, so there shouldn't be any problems from his side. Emelianenko is not signed to a contract by the UFC, and has never fought in the UFC before. Fedor is contractually obligated with Affliction and is scheduled to fight against Josh Barnett on August 1 of this year. After that fight is finished, Fedor becomes a "free-agent" and could sign with the UFC if he chooses.
UFC officials and Fedor have met in the past, multiple times to try to get him to sign with the organization but Fedor's demands were too outrageous. Fedor had been asking to make at least $2 million for every fight and for the UFC to become business partners with Emelianenko's manager.
Fedor and Dana White have had their problems in the past, but recently White has changed his tone on Fedor. In the past, White would criticize Fedor's choice of opponents and even said that Emelianenko "sucks." But now, White has only praised Fedor, realizing how big of a star he can be in the UFC, and how much money he can make off him. White said at the UFC 100 press conference that Fedor will eventually be in the UFC and that him and the fans want to see how he would do in this organization. White added that Brock vs. Fedor will happen in the future and he will get the deal done.
Lesnar was a two-time NCAA All-American before deciding to join the WWE. After leaving wrestling for a failed stint in the NFL, Lesnar turned his attention to mixed martial arts. In his first MMA fight, Lesnar showed incredible speed for a big man, and big power, in a first round stoppage against Min-Soo Kim. White immediately signed Lesnar to a UFC contract and put him in a fight against former UFC champion Frank Mir. Lesnar would hurt Mir early and take him down but would get caught in a kneebar and be forced to submit. Lesnar picked up his first UFC win over experienced Heath Herring. Lesnar won the UFC Heavyweight Championship, in only his third UFC fight, knocking out legend Randy Couture in the second round. Lesnar is coming off an impressive two round knockout over Frank Mir at UFC 100, avenging his only loss, to become the unified UFC heavyweight champion.
Emelianenko holds a significant advantage in MMA experience over Lesnar. While Lesnar only has five fights in mixed martial arts, Fedor has fought 32 times. Fedor has fought in the Rings, Pride, and Affliction organization and has a career record of 30-1 with one no contest. Fedor has been 26-0 in the past nine years and has looked unbeatable at times. Fedor has fought and beat the best in mixed martial arts over the years, including the names of Heath Herring, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (three times), Kevin Randelman, Mirko Cro Cop, Mark Coleman, and Mark Hunt. In his last two fights, Fedor has beaten two former UFC champions in Andre Arlovski and Tim Sylvia by first round stoppage.
If this fight were to happen, this would be the biggest UFC heavyweight fight in history, and possibly the biggest UFC match in history. It would have a chance to shatter all PPV records and would give huge attention to the UFC and MMA in general.

Fedor should let Brock the Crock fight in his league and not fatten the slimy pockets of Danie White. this guy twitters during his ufc fights, whata FAGGOT!DONT SUPPORT THIS CLOWN. anyone that supports UFC is supporting this guy twittering himself..
This is the only good matchup for Fedor now. All these other fights don't make any real sense. Dana White needs to step up and do this for charity together with Vadim Finkelstein. http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/2383152/fedor_emelianenko_vs_brock_lesnar_for.html?cat=14
This matchup would be cool, but for Fedor to get $2 mil a fight, that's a bit crazy. Brock Lesnar got a flat $400k for his fight and that is one of the highest payouts yet. On the other hand Mir only got $45k to show and would have recieved another $45k for the win. I think that fans are more likely to see Lesnar vs Shane Carwin before we see Lesnar vs Fedor.
hope to see this matchup.
