Feed Back of the Poem "Learning the Bicycle"

The Outlaw
This poem is about two people, one who is older than the other. The older one is trying to teach the younger one how to ride a bike but teaching someone how to ride a bike is a lot like life. It is hard to teach someone to do something but after they have learned, it's hard to let them go. The poem makes you feel sad and happy.

The poem makes you feel sad and happy because you feel sad for the person that's trying to ride a bike and other kids are riding by him. The writer makes you feel happy because he finally learns how to ride a bike. Another reason why you feel sad is because the teacher has to finally let the kid go. Similar things happen like this in real life for example, when parents have children that go off to college they need to let them go. Their whole life they have been teaching them but after a certain amount of time they need to let them go into the real world.

The writer Wyatt Prunty did a very good job writing this poem. I really enjoyed reading it and I mite decide to read more of Wyatt's poems. I think Wyatt uses descriptive words in the poem; it also had imagery and rhythm. The rhyme scheme was A, B, A, B and some descriptive words were, darkening, spinning and gyros. I can't wait to read more poems!
