Feel the Cheer and Jolly

A Christmas Song

Christian K. Martinez
Ohh the firelight does play tonight
The snow is cold and drear
Inside the Children glow with light
Above the heavens clear

Sing now for hearth and home
That keeps our loved ones near
That shelters us from twilight's gloam
And holds us ever dear.

Walk with me and hold my hand
Beneath the hanging holly
Smile now and be so grande
To feel the cheer and Jolly

Christmas time and Winter days
Do mean so many things
So come to laugh or come to pray
Remember just to bring

Bring a happy spirit,
Bring a happy tune
Make a loving daylight
To last us all through June

And in all truth delight
Walk with me and hold my hand
Beneath the hanging holly
Smile now and be so grande
To feel the cheer and Jolly

With families at the table
We eat and laugh and share
We paint a little fable
Remember why we care

With winter's chill so settled in
And gentleness of fires
With the way that dark has been
We need no other ires

So walk with me and hold my hand
Beneath the hanging holly
Smile now and be so grande
To feel the cheer and Jolly
