Feel Golf Wedge Review

For those of you who go through wedges almost as fast as you do putters, may I offer a suggestion? Feel Golf. They have been making some very good wedges for over 10 years now and offer lofts ranging from 46* all the way up to 73*! Just try not to hit the ball up you nose when using the high lofted model! Feel Golf makes just about everything right now, from drivers to wedges, hats, bags, a very popular line of slice fighting grips, but it is the wedge that got their foot in the door of the golf equipment industry. I have reviewed their blade irons, now its time for what brought them to the dance: The Wedge!

The Feel Golf wedges are very versatile clubs. Designed by PGA Pros and tested by many players on the PGA Tour, they have been refined into a very good club. They feature a 6 way sole, with low bounce and multiple lofts for every player. The heads are a clean, classic shape that really look good when you set the ball down behind them. Like the irons, they are on the heavy side at a D8 swing weight, which is great around the greens and out of the rough, but some may find it too heavy of a feel for full shots.

I hit about a hundred balls from all sorts of lies with the 52* and 60* wedges and must say I was impressed. The sole really keeps a constant contact with the ground through impact and the low bounce cut through the rough with ease and allowed me to get under the ball with out skipping into the back of it. Shots from the fairway and full shots in general were easy to control and hitting the ball a little higher or lower when needed was no problem. They look and feel great, and its extra weight really felt good around the green side rough. I felt I could get a better "FEEL " har, har, around the green with them and the ball stopped relatively quickly for a club that does not have the new grooves and milled faces like many other wedges today.

Overall these have been and still are great wedges. I used to play a set years ago and after hitting them really thought of putting them back in my bag! You can find these hidden gems on line for the price of your typical high end wedge. I would suggest that anyone give the Feel Wedges a try!
