Feeling Tired and Irritable? it May Be Your Colon

A Saliva and Stool Test Can Help Diagnose the Problem

According to the Healthy Planet Magazine, there are a number of things that could happen to your house that would make it unbearable to live there. The electricity could go out for one thing. It would be terribly hot in the summer and freezing cold in the winter.

What would happen if your roof leaked and you couldn't get it fixed? And finally what if your plumbing failed to carry all of the waste out of your house? Could you bear to live with all of that unsanitary filth? Even Donald Trump with his gold toilets wouldn't use them if they didn't work.

All of these scenarios are pretty bad, but I would think that the most disgusting and dangerous to your health would be the lack of plumbing. Back before there was plumbing, people would throw the waste from their pails out the front window onto the street.

That's why the custom developed of the man walking to the left of the woman. It's so she wouldn't get splattered with a bucket of human waste. Not only that, the unsanitary conditions were probably responsible for a lot of disease epidemics as well.

Now let's compare the human body to a house. The electrical system could be the wiring like that found in the nervous system. Your heart could be like the furnace. And everybody knows that we have a self regulating system of moving our blood to the skin and sweating to keep us cool during the heat. As far as the plumbing system goes, you could say that our digestive system is our waste disposal system.

It all starts in the mouth. There complex carbohydrates and starches are broken down by our saliva. Then on to the stomach where the food is further broken down by enzymes, stomach acid, and the churning action of the smooth muscles of the gut.

After that, it's on to the small intestine where the nutrients and vitamins are removed and put into the bloodstream where insulin from the pancreas helps convert the energy in the food into something that our muscles can use. Finally, the indigestible fiber and other materials that the body cannot use are eliminated from the body with the aid of beneficial bacteria.

The process of digestion is really a complicated one and a lot of things can go wrong from acid reflux and gas buildup to more serious problems involving inflammation like irritable bowel syndrome, diverticulitis, and Crohn's disease.

A lot of times you can be suffering from bowel disease and not even know it. You just feel out of sorts, tired, and irritable all of the time. Having a colonoscopy or a colon cleansing won't help. You really need to find out why you feel that way.

The best thing that you can do is to have a saliva and stool test to see if there is anything wrong. There are many natural health centers around town that can perform the tests. You might be amazed how good you feel after the problem has been diagnosed and treated.
