As soon as I walked in the shelter, I was amazed that none of the cats were caged, and roamed free, but what was more amazing was how we were treated by the staff. The staff, who are all volunteers, by the way, went out of their way to welcome us, and show us around. The shelter was incredibly clean and the cats in the kitten room were well taken care of and seemed spunky, playful and happy. Not only did my neighbor adopt a kitten, we both decided to volunteer. They have different volunteer opportunities available such as playing with the cats, (my favorite,) helping with the upkeep of the shelter, participating in fairs and other events and raising awareness about the shelter.
