Felt is a great medium for home decorating, and it is easy to use for Valentine's Day crafts. This inexpensive medium comes in a variety of colors. This article will provide you with detailed instructions on creating felt home decorating crafts for Valentine's Day.

Heart Wall Hanging

Felt is easy to use, and it looks great in home decorating projects. For this Valentine's craft you will need red, pink, and white felt. You will also need scissors, fabric glue, and ribbon.

Start by cutting a large rectangle out of red felt. Then cut two smaller rectangles out of the pink and white felt. Then glue the white rectangle on one side of the red rectangle and the pink on the other side. Then cut three hearts from each felt. Make sure the hearts are smaller than the rectangles. Also make sure each heart you cut is smaller than the next.

Glue the hearts to the center of the pink, white, and red rectangle starting with the biggest heart. Layer the hearts until the smallest one is on the very top. Make sure to mix and match the colors or detail and depth. Finally glue a long piece of ribbon to the corners of the rectangle so you can hang this home decorating craft for Valentine's Day.

Sweet Centerpiece

An adorable felt home decorating craft is the sweet centerpiece. This Valentine's Day craft you will need white, pink, purple, and red felt. You will also need red and white fabric paint, chalk, scissors, and a large glass bowl.

Start this home decorating project by cutting the felt into several equally sized hearts. They should be about 2-3 inches in length. To cut the felt into hearts fold a piece of felt in half. Cut a half circle extending away from the folded edge. Then cut at a diagonal angle back towards the fold.

Then use the chalk to write short messages in the center of each heart. Follow the lines with the fabric paint and allow the candy like decorations to dry. When the hearts are completely dry, place all of them in the large glass bowl for the perfect Valentine's Day centerpiece.

These decorating crafts are a great way to get in the mood for Valentine's Day. These felt projects are fun and easy, and the will add a great touch to your home.
