Originally founded by "Willow" in 2004, {AOG} has gone through many difficulties, as all gaming groups do. In mid 2007, "Kytanna" stepped up, taking over as the leader of the squad, and once again has them living up to their motto: "Giving fight like a girl new meaning!"
{AOG} currently has eight members, with an average Honor level of 72 and K/D (Kill to Death ratio) of 1.2 as a squad. Don't think though, that they are not willing to accept new members and provide encouragement to new players. If you are a female looking to give online gaming a try, {AOG} is a great place to begin! The group even has a junior section for female gamers called {AOG} Juniors for those under the age of 18, their own leased server, appropriately named "{AOG} The Powder Room" and a fully-functional website with forums at armyopgirlz dot com.
America's Army (AA) is a free online game simulating Army combat. As online games go, the development team for AA strives to improve and update the gaming experience for its players on a regular basis. Since its inception on July 4, 2002, America's Army has seen 26 version updates and releases. It began with America's Army Recon, version 1.0.0 and is now America's Army: Special Forces (Overmatch), version 2.8.3.1 with an all-new 3.0 version slated for release sometime in 2009.
The process of releasing new versions and updates involves what the AA development team refers to as Betas. These are gamers who, for various reasons, are selected to be a part of the testing and quality assurance process for each new release. {AOG} currently has three Betas within the squad, signifying them as strong leaders within the America's Army gaming community.
If you are a female looking to bond with other females in a gaming environment or are a new female to gaming, give some thought to contacting Kytanna at {AOG} ArmyOpGirlz. You'll find a comfortable, competitive and fun environment waiting for you and, maybe more importantly, a whole passel of males to take your aggressions out on!
