The color blue represents a yin color in Feng shui and is said to represent wisdom. The deepest color blue, navy blue is the color that most represents this wisdom and intellect. The color blue can create warmth of feelings including peace and trust within an area. It also represents the need to explore, as it is the color of the sky, and oceans.
Black and metal are the colors that are perfect to get the career started. Black is known as a symbol for money, and has become a very lucrative color.
Purple is associated with healing, not only physical but mental as well. It is also associated with spiritual awareness. Purple is an important color to new beginnings, or to learning more about yourself, as well as continuing growth as you live your life.
In Feng shui, the color white is very important as it represents purity and poise. When combined with silver or gold, it creates one of the calmest atmospheres.
Pink and green are two of the other yin colors, which are both used in the practice of Feng shui. These colors contribute to the positive energy within a space, drawing from the energy in the area.
Yellow represents all of the warmth, emotion and sun within the world. It conveys instant tones of friendliness but should be used in limited doses as large amounts have been known to cause anxiety.
Orange is a fire color, and a color of the yang side of the Feng shui model. It is to be used when one is out of creative outlets as it promotes new ideas, organization and can give you a sense of purpose. The color purple, while associated with luck, has also been associated with good fortune in the way of money. Deep purple should be used with lavender to create a proper Fen shui color balance. These colors are mostly associated with the Feng shui element fire, and are bright and can stimulate everything from conversation to personal growth and passion within the area.
Red is the Feng shui color associated with money, lavender and gold with luck and romance. Beige and tan are used to balance a space, and should be used throughout the living space.
