Feng Shui Your Life

The Ultimate How-To Guide

Feng Shui is the ancient Asian practice of finding ultimate peace and harmony with one's environment. It has become a popular trend among business and home owners especially, who bring in a consultant to their personal space and have them rearrange their home or business in order to increase the flow of positive energy and decrease negativity. Feng Shui is also believed to bring in prosperity, luck and fortune, improve relationships, and keep out evil spirits according to ancient belief.

While I agree that having an organized home that is aesthetically pleasing to the eye does contribute to happiness, one can't simply rely on that sole factor. If you have negative people around you or a bad outlook on life in general, you are still going to be very unhappy. This is why you need to Feng Shui your life-in other words, rearrange everything within and around you, and rid yourself of dead weight and bad energy.

Start with the people in your life. Who do you spend most of your time with? Do you have respect for these people? Are they people you admire or look up to in a way? Would you trust them with your life? If you answered no to most of these questions, you need to re-eveluate these people. You also need to look at your reasons for having and maintaining friendship with them. If you're friends with them for the wrong reasons, then you need to cut the ties. You're being deceitful to them and yourself by allowing a "fake" friendship to prosper. What good is a relationship built on lies and deceit?

You want to be around people who appreciate you, and who you are appreciative of. People that bring out the best in you and vice versa are ideal. It isn't easy finding good people in this world, and one has to learn through trial and error. But once you do find that genuine person, hold on to them. You may not find another one like them in a long time. And always keep in mind, it's not quantity, it's quality. One true friend is better than ten fake ones.

Do you complain a lot? Are you constantly focusing on what you don't have? You need to do a 360 and change your outlook on life. It will make a difference. If you instead focus on what you do have and how fortunate you are to have certain things in your life, you will be happier and soon you won't notice what you're lacking. You will also be inspired to do better in life, and that way you can achieve what you don't have yet. And remember, just because you don't have something at the moment doesn't mean you won't have it at some point.

Being positive is attractive. We are always drawn towards successful, happy people because we want to be like them. You will attract others towards you, and you are creating more positivity without even realizing it! How great would it make you feel to find out that someone secretly aspires to be like you, or that you are some distant person's role model? This would make you try even harder, because you don't want to let that admirer down.

These two simple changes in your life will make a drastic difference. And the best part is, it's so simple! You just have to look around and be aware, and a positive change will overcome you.
