The family of Sylvester Johnson, who were farmers, acquired the land and established a home here. It was three of the children of this family eventually would go on to become known as the founders of the Johnson and Johnson Company. It would not be until 1916 that the son, James Johnson, would build Fern Hall. Fern Hall is known in the present time as the place for their restaurant, the Bed & Breakfast, the Clubhouse of Scottish Glen, which is a nine hole golf course that is very beautiful. The best thing to know about this place is that it is smoke free and also pet free.
If you are wishing to stay at this beautiful and historic Inn, then the main residence and the boat house are perfect for any occasion; such as weddings, reunions, graduations, and much more. There are eight rooms available with various different items that are in the rooms. The rooms are always available for either on the weekend or during the week. They also include winter packages to Elk Mountain, which is 8 miles from the Inn. If you are wishing for a semi- private room or a private room, they do have new mid week specials at affordable prices. If you are wishing to come on the weekends or on holidays, the prices are still affordable but are a bit steep.
The amenities that are available are golfing, massages, the boat house, fishing, canoing, kayaking, swimming, biking, hiking, walking, skiing, both downhill and cross country are available. For more information on the golfing aspect of your stay, check out the website. The Scottish Glen Golf Course is a gorgeous area that is nestled in the middle of the woods.
The dining is simply excellent at the inn, and they include some interesting choices for their daily specials. They hold the belief that whatever you decide to have for the lunch, dinner, or the dessert, you will be pleased with the results. They also offer breakfast buffets which is only available on Sundays.
If you make the decision to go to Fern Hall during the summer, you will have an experience that you will never forget. You will be amazed by Elk Mountain and Crystal Lake, which is one of the clearest lakes in the area. You will have an enjoyable time playing a round of golf, have a enjoyable meal or more, and even enjoy whatever event that happens to be happening at the time that you are staying. You will simply have the best time while staying here and you will go away with an experience that you will always remember.

Post a CommentDon't be fooled. Don't go. The place is lonely and seems not to care for your welfare. There are no locks on the guest room doors, there is no main desk for late night problems,and, when we were there, we were the only (scared, and sleepless) guests. In fact, we were the only PEOPLE in the vicinity.
