The 2010 Election results for Ferndale show that the city is still a stronghold for the Democrats. If the voting for the nation had been held in the hands of Ferndale residents, the outcome would have been much different.
Almost sixty-nine percent of voters in Ferndale elected to vote a, "Straight Democratic Party Ticket." This is opposed to the almost twenty-eight percent that opted to vote a, "Straight Republican Party Ticket." Only 2.67% of Ferndale voters opted out of either of the straight party options for the two main political parties by voting for other optional parties, or chose separately. Ever race in Ferndale went to the Democrats.
