The Ferndale Eagles had lost four consecutive games against the Lahser Knights from Bloomfield Hills. This year's result was favorably different as Ferndale won 35-20 with the help of brothers Jamael and Jamarius McTear, the team's quarterback and quickest receiver respectively. Senior running back Anthony Garland added two touchdowns and ended the game just one yard shy of 200 rushing.

Evening up their season at 1-1 is a step in the right direction, but head coach Ryan Dunlap will certainly want to work on the team's hands this week. Ferndale fumbled four times during the course of the game, giving up three of them to their opponent. It will be tough to remain competitive if the team keeps giving up freebies. Here's to hoping it was a one-game aberration if you're a Ferndale fan.
