Ferndale Library Board offers opportunity
Neighborhood: downtown
ferndale, MI 48820
United States of America
If you're a Ferndale resident and you're an enthusiast of popular fiction (romance novels? thrillers a la Stephen King?) and/or classic literature (Shakespeare, Camus?), and/or nonfiction (the latest biography on Barack Obama), or just love a good book, there's an opportunity you may find to be of interest.

Fernadle's Library Board has an opening. Members will appoint somebody this fall to fill an open seat because longtime member Mary Ann Neal has resigned.

You would need to attend one or two meetings per month, although diligent members educate themselves and get involved beyond the official duties. One good idea would be to review the ideas and issues that are on the American Library Association's agenda.

Applicants should send resumes and cover letters with qualifications to 222 E. Nine Mile Road, Ferndale, MI 48220, or via email at libboard@gmail.com. The deadline is 5 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 20.
