A contact of mine from the Ferndale Police Department wanted me to pass on a reminder to anyone using, or transporting, medical marijuana in the Ferndale city limits. Remember that you are required to have documentation on you that proves that you are allowed by the state to possess and use small amounts of medical marijuana.
Not having the documentation can cause for misdemeanor prosecution if you are caught in possession of marijuana. This documentation is your lifeline from many different types of penalties. Also, follow your state-issued guide as to where you are able to use your medical marijuana in the state. Even if you are approved for medical marijuana, there are restriction as to where you may use it.
