The Ferndale Environmental Sustainability Commission has initiated "Green Tuesdays" in an effort to educate the community about staying green and being aware of our environment. Green Tuesdays are every second Tuesday of each month. They are free and open to the public, and there is a new topic or session each month on becoming and staying green at home and in school.

The event is open to everyone including those who are not residents of Ferndale. The next "Green Tuesday" will be on the topic of "Winterizing Your Home for Energy Efficiency" on Oct. 12.
