Many people have a Christmas wreath, even if they decide not to have a Christmas tree. But with so many front doors sporting a Christmas wreath, they all start to kind of look the same. Wouldn't you like yours to stand out a little this year?

There are some fun and easy decorating ideas for your Christmas wreath that won't take much time or materials. Any of these ideas can easily be completed within an hour.

Decorate with mini ornaments. For this wreath you will need some mini ornaments, found at any holiday decorating store. A great wreath decorating idea is to get the small round balls to decorate your wreath with, you know - the shiny ones! But there are so many ornaments out there. You could even decorate your wreath and get the ornaments personalized to say "Welcome to the Smiths" or "Merry Christmas" or whatever greeting you would like to share.

Here are some other ornament ideas:

Decorate with nutcrackers. For those who love The Nutcracker ballet, this is a great idea. You can find small nutcracker ornaments and decorate your wreath with the nutcrackers. Tie a nice silver or gold bow at the bottom of your wreath.

Decorate with Santas. What is more Christmassy than Santa Claus? Decorate your wreath with mini Santa ornaments. This could look really cute if you alternated between Santa ornaments and reindeer ornaments. Finish the wreath off with a nice big red bow.

Here are some ideas using different objects:

Decorate with bows. For this wreath idea you will need to make bows out of ribbon. Ideally your ribbon will be more than an inch and a half thick to create luxurious bows. Make your bows fancy by using velvet ribbon, or add some sparkle to your wreath by using metallic bows. A great idea is to decorate your wreath alternating with velvet and metallic bows.

Decorate with mini gingerbread men. This is a great wreath for someone who loves to bake or is a little crafty. Bake some mini gingerbread men and poke holes in the top of them so you can tie ribbons to secure them to the wreath. Once they are baked, decorate with white icing and raisins, or however you feel best. Tie them to the wreath and complete this wreath with a red and green plaid bow.

Decorate with gingerbread hearts and stars. This is another gingerbread idea. Bake mini gingerbread hearts and stars and poke holes in the tops of them so you can tie them using ribbons to the wreath. Decorate with icing or raisins or however you prefer. Finish this wreath off with a purple bow.
