Festive and Fun Homemade Christmas Party Invitations

wendy van
It is time to get those Christmas party invitations out. Below I am going to give you step by step instructions on how to make your own festive party invitations. The first thing that I would do though is to find a website or a store that sells Christmas cardstock and papers. The one that I would recommend is a site called http://store.scrapbook.com. This site sells Bazzill products. These products are top grade. When you go to this site you are going to find some fabulous Christmas papers and cardstock. They have a really cute paper there called It's Cold Outside. It is a picture of mittens all over the page.

Items that you will need

Envelopes

Steps to making your invitation

  1. Choose some cardstock and paper that suites you
  2. Decide what size that you want your invitation to be
  3. Take your cardstock-this is the thicker paper-and fold it in half sideways
  4. On the front of your card you can stamp a picture with the stamp of your choice
  5. Color the picture in with markers
  6. Now we are going to work on the inside of the invitation-cut out some of your festive paper and paste it to the inside of your card
  7. Now cut out a piece of light-colored matching paper and paste it on the right-hand side of the card. The paper is going to be a little bit smaller than the original paper. It will make the original paper look like a border.
  8. Stamp you invitation on the smaller paper.
  9. Fill in your information.

You now have a very festive and homemade invitation to send out to your friends. Each invitation can be unique and fun to make. Your friends will feel that you really care about them since you took the time to make this special invitation. Just follow the above guidelines and you will be alright. Have a lot of fun being creative with the different colors of cardstock and papers. You can create cards too. This would also be a great way to send out your holiday cards this year too. There are so many different sites out on the internet to choose different colors and types of materials. You can spend hours browsing to find different holiday stamps to spice up your cards. May you have a fabulous holiday season.
