Festive Holiday Makeup in Three Easy Steps
Glamorize You're Regular Makeup Routine for All Your Holiday Parties This Season
If you normally wear... a bold red lipstick
Turn up the dial by adding a touch of gold
Paint your pout as you normally would with your favorite matte red lipstick, lip liner or lip stain. Then make the look festive by adding a touch of gold. Dab gold eye shadow (cream based will work best) on your in the center of your lips. Seal the look with a clear gloss.
If you normally wear... a sultry smoky eye
Add some holiday cheer by using jewel tones
Instead of the expected gray smoky eye stand out by using jewel tone colors on your lids this holiday season. Use the same basic technique but switch out the gray for a bright purple, a gorgeous green or a festive cranberry red. To avoid overdoing it choose one sparkly shadow shade and keep the other ones matte. Too much glimmer will cheapen the look.

If you normally wear... a coat of black mascara
Pump up the volume by adding some dramatic fake lashes
False eyelashes are the perfect finishing touch for any holiday look. For extra drama use lashes with a pop of color, texture or glitter. I love lashes #243 "Moulin Rouge" by Makeup Forever. The thin strip of red glitter along the lash line is perfect for holiday parties!
Applying false eyelashes is easier than it looks. Makeupgeektv has a great step by step tutorial for beginners:

Pair any of these simple twists with a LBD are you'll spread holiday cheer wherever you go!
