Another interesting and admirable feature is the "Adoption Center." While many animal stores tend to just breed an overabundance of animals while other needy animals die of in shelters, FetchDog.com offers an entire center on considerations when adopting, personal adoption stories, and how to find a dog. Choosing a compassionate retailer, for me, is one of the most important considerations when choosing an animal care supplier.
The actual range of supplies is surprisingly excellent. From food to pampering, puppy to senior, this site offers everything one would need when caring for a companion animal. However, watch out for leather products. It is a shame that an animal provider carries such cruelly made products, but it is very possible that the site owners are unaware of the cruelty. It might be worth a mention in a comment or feedback field to FetchDog.com. I also had a difficult time locating vegetarian/vegan dog food (only one item), but I did easily locate a good amount of "Earth Friendly" products.
In the end, FetchDog.com is recommended much more highly than its corporate competitors. While the product line may be greater at PetSmart.com, it is much less pleasant to navigate. It is also difficult to buy from a major supplier with such a poor record of animal care. (PetSmart is infamous for neglecting in-store animals.) Another such supplier is PetCo.com. This site is more pleasant to navigate than PetSmart, however the over-stuffed site may be cumbersome for some users. PetCo is a much better choice than PetSmart if only for their superior dedication to animal care.
For those who enjoy the shopping experience at FetchDog but would like to maintain a vegetarian diet for their animals, I would recommend visiting V-Dogfood.com, an entirely vegan food supplier. For supplies that are difficult to locate and cannot be found at FetchDog.com, another good site to visit is PETAMall.com. While somewhat cumbersome to navigate, one can be sure that the products offered are cruelty-free. Also, many hard-to-find products can be found here.
FetchDog.com is an excellent site for animal care and a good supplier, just be sure to watch out for products that may not be cruelty-free.
