A quick reference of the above fetishes:
BDSM - This involves submission and Dominance, and can involve bondage, pain, humiliation, and control with willing participants of course.
Swinging - Couples who choose to date and play sexually with other couples or single.
Breathe Play - This has many versions but can manifests itself in cutting off airflow to someone while in an erotic situation.
Fire Play - Running fire over the skin, no actual burning just lots of heat, hot wax can fall into this category as well.
Knife Play - This can involve cutting but can also just involve using the flat of the blade over the skin to create excitement.
Anal Sex - Self explanatory
Sloshing - Using food during sex such as puddings, creams, even spaghetti to rub all over your body.
Latex - This has many facets there is the wearing of latex clothing but also latex blankets and contraptions that completely surround you in latex with only a tube to breathe out of.
First thing I found is age does not appear to matter the individuals that answered my survey were from age 18-67 and all of them had experienced at least one of the fetishes above and most wanted to or had experienced others. However the younger drown do seem to be more open sharing their experiences and desires. Women as a whole were most of who was willing to take my survey, only 20% of the people who took my survey were male. So either they are more nervous, or perhaps just wanting to keep their quirks to themselves.
Some of the fetishes I was given as other desires that many of this group participate in is foot fetishes, role playing as different individuals, exhibitionism, voyeurism, gothic play, and orgasm control. Over 50% of the people surveyed had experimented in these arenas because of being involved in a Dominant/submissive relationship or because they are swingers. The rest had found their way by their loved ones, online, and friends. Also all but one were open to other kinds of play and were willing to experiment with different fetishes and taboos.
Something that pretty much everyone said who took the survey struck me and that is that they believe that it is likely that most everyone has dabbled or will dabble in what people believe is a fetish. Especially now when so many of these such as BDSM and swinging are becoming more mainstream and more accepted. Who is truly to say what is abnormal or a "fetish" when so many people are experiencing these things and enjoying them. Are these activities for everyone? Of course not every individual has their own desires that are likely to differ from person to person however with the group I did get to participate who is to say whether these things are truly taboo.
Another thought is that everyone I surveyed I asked specifically did you feel your cravings and desires were normal or might be a bit off? Everyone thought they were normal, maybe dark in their wishes for bedroom play but completely normal.
This wasn't a scientific survey but more a inquiry of people willing to answer a fetish quiz, oddly everyone who answered had a fetish, so answer this for yourself did the others not take the quiz because they had no fetish? Embarrassed that they weren't more creative, or perhaps just didn't want to share?
